Opalescence Go

Opalescence Go is a take-home whitening system with gel already inside disposable trays. It does not require impressions for custom trays. Check the concentration on your pack and follow its directions, because different strengths have different wear times.

Our free guide focuses on veneers. Its clinic checklist and travel questions can also help you prepare for a dental consultation abroad.

    Understand the product

What Opalescence Go whitening trays contain

The prefilled Opalescence Go whitening trays deliver hydrogen peroxide gel to natural teeth. A thin inner tray carries the gel, while an outer tray helps position it. You remove the outer tray during placement, following the instructions supplied with your pack. This is a prefilled system rather than a syringe you use to load a custom tray.

Opalescence Go whitening trays come in different concentrations. Ultradent's U.S. information lists 10% and 15% versions with different daily wear times. A stronger percentage is not a reason to extend treatment or assume a better personal result. Ask a dentist which version suits your teeth and history of sensitivity.

The manufacturer's product information describes the prefilled format and concentration-specific schedules. Read your own packaging before starting; products and instructions can differ by market.

Check your teeth before choosing a kit

Existing crowns, fillings and veneers will not bleach like natural teeth. A dentist can assess the cause of discoloration and explain whether the visible dental work may look different after treatment. One newly dark tooth or unexplained pain needs assessment before a cosmetic course.

    Before you begin

Using the right instructions for your pack

    1. 01

      Identify the version

Read the full product name and gel strength before opening a tray. Opalescence Go instructions should match the actual pack, not a search result for another concentration. Keep the leaflet so you can check placement, wear time and storage later.

    2. 02

      Seat the trays as directed

The positioning steps matter because the gel should contact teeth rather than spread onto gums. Follow the illustrated sequence for the outer and inner trays. Do not add extra gel or treat a prefilled tray as a reusable custom tray. If the fit is uncomfortable, ask for advice.

    3. 03

      Finish and assess comfort

Remove the trays at the specified time and clean your mouth as directed. Opalescence Go instructions do not permit sleeping in the trays. Contact your dentist about persistent or worsening irritation instead of continuing because you have unused trays left.

    Know what is included

    What determines the cost?

A box price may cover only the prefilled trays. A dental practice may also include an examination or review, so ask what the total fee buys. Compare the same concentration and number of treatments when looking at packs. A larger box is not permission to use more treatments than directed.

The convenience of this product is its ready-filled format. Check expiry dates, storage requirements and the seller before buying. The price of a retail pack is different from a supervised treatment plan. This guide does not confirm Colombia Smile Studio's stock or a clinic price.

    Questions to clarify

    Pack contents
Which strength and how many upper and lower tray sets are included?
    Dental assessment
Is an examination needed first, and is it included in the quoted fee?
    Support
Who will answer questions about fit, sensitivity or unexpected color changes?

    Planning around an event

Allow time to check suitability and see how you respond. Do not begin whitening immediately before a trip or celebration on the assumption that every person finishes with the same shade. If discomfort interrupts the course, ask about the next step rather than compressing missed sessions.

    Comfort and expectations

    Sensitivity and realistic results

Whitening can cause temporary sensitivity and gum irritation. Tell your dentist about existing symptoms before using the trays. Avoid combining it with another bleaching product or adding extra sessions to speed things up. A product advertised for comfort can still cause symptoms in an individual user.

Judge progress in similar lighting rather than against an edited photograph. Natural teeth vary in starting color and response. The goal is a change you are comfortable with, not matching the whitest image in an advertisement. Any restoration in the smile remains a separate color-planning issue.

The ADA whitening overview explains common side effects and why tooth-colored restorations do not whiten. Its information applies to bleaching generally, rather than predicting your response to one brand.

    After the course

Whitening is not permanent. Ask when to reassess the shade and whether another course is appropriate. Do not keep restarting Opalescence Go simply because the original box is finished. If your main concern is tooth shape or a chip, discuss that separately from color.

See the teeth whitening overview for the wider treatment categories, or read about whitening with existing veneers if you already have restorations.

    Patient questions

    Opalescence Go questions

Details to clarify before choosing a product or booking treatment.

    Do I need custom trays?

No. Opalescence Go uses prefilled trays rather than trays made from impressions of your teeth. A dentist can still help assess whether the format and concentration are suitable.

Can I wear the trays overnight?

No. Follow the wear time on your pack. Do not transfer an overnight schedule from a different take-home whitening system to these trays.

Will a higher concentration work better for me?

Not necessarily. Strength affects the instructions and tolerability, while the cause of discoloration and your starting shade also matter. Ask a dentist before changing concentrations.

    Can I refill the trays?

Treat these as the disposable prefilled product described by the manufacturer. Do not add syringe gel or try to convert them into reusable custom trays.

Does the clinic offer this product?

This page explains the product rather than confirming inventory. Ask Colombia Smile Studio which system is available and clinically appropriate before paying or arranging travel.
