Looking for the whitest veneers? Start by identifying the shade guide. BL1-BL4 and VITA 0M references are different sets of labels. A dentist should show you the actual reference and explain how it relates to the material proposed for your smile.

Whitest veneers: start with the shade system
No single shade code means the whitest option across all products. BL references, VITA 0M references and classical B1 need their own system names. Compare physical samples with your dentist before choosing a direction for the design.
Understand BL1-BL4 veneer shade labels
Ivoclar's ceramic shade reference lists BL1, BL2, BL3 and BL4 separately from A-D shades. Record the proposed label with its product system so its meaning stays clear.
Ask which material uses the proposed code and which physical reference you will review. A photograph online cannot provide that assessment.

VITA's bleached-shade documentation identifies 0M1, 0M2 and 0M3 as 3D-MASTER references. They can be added to a classical guide, but sharing a holder does not turn them into classical codes.
The table identifies each system. It does not convert a BL code into a matching 0M code.
0M1, 0M2 and 0M3 tooth shades
The first character is zero in VITA’s 0M1, 0M2 and 0M3 labels. Searches sometimes use the letter O instead. Confirm the printed label rather than treating that spelling as another shade.
Explain what you like about a bright sample and what would feel too bright for you. Those preferences belong in the design discussion before a shade is recorded.

BL1 vs B1 tooth shade: different labels
B1 belongs to the VITA classical guide. BL1 is a bleach-shade label in a different system. Similar letters do not establish that they describe the same reference or the same finished appearance.
Ask the dentist to record the manufacturer, guide and code together with the intended material. Establish which sample or review stage you can see before the design is finalized and what changes are possible at that stage.
If brightness worries you, say so during that review. Confirm how your preference will be communicated to the laboratory. The shade label itself does not decide how many teeth should be treated.

How should I read 0M1 when a search spells the tooth shade OM1?
Read the first character as zero: 0M1. The spelling OM1 in a search does not identify a separate option. Use the manufacturer’s printed code in the treatment record.
Can BL1-BL4 be converted directly to 0M1-0M3?
This guide does not establish a direct conversion. BL and 0M are different reference systems. Review the actual sample proposed with your dentist instead of replacing its code with one from another guide.
What system name should accompany a BL shade in a veneer plan?
Record the manufacturer and named guide, then the shade code and intended material. Ask which physical sample represents that choice and how the laboratory will receive the information.
